BEST TIME TO VISIT: Eastern Canada covers a vast region stretching from the Great Lakes through to the Arctic Circle and bordering the Atlantic, temperatures vary dramatically. Toronto, Montreal, Quebec and Ottawa have hot summers starting around May/June through to mid September, autumn brings an amazing display of colours and is one of the best times to visit starting mid September though to October.

Winter can be harsh with snow beginning to fall in November and temperatures dipping below freezing for long periods until as late as April.

Spring is short with temperatures warming up in April with a mix of cool and very warm temperatures until June when summer time begins.

TIME DIFFERENCE: GMT -5 hours.

FLIGHT INFORMATION: Direct flights operate to all key cities with Air Canada and British Airways.

FLYING TIME FROM UK: Approx 7-8 hours to Toronto, Ottawa, Halifax and Montreal. Approx 9 hours and 30 mins to Quebec.
